Bed & Breakfast Purchase – Blairgowrie

About Glenshieling House

Glenshieling House sits on the edge of the Scottish town of Blairgowrie which is an ideal location for visiting the many attractions that Perthshire has to offer.  It is a grand house and lodge sitting within its own grounds. Built in 1893 it is grade C listed for its local architectural significance.

It was the life-long ambition of Richard and Louise Lennox to own their own guest house.  After looking at the range of properties on offer they viewed Glenshieling Guest House in Blairgowrie, an area they both loved.  As soon as they saw it they knew it was the place for them to realise their ambition.  Richard & Louise decided to sell their home in Glasgow and use the equity to purchase the business.  After approaching a number of lenders it became clear that they would need assistance to procure competitive affordable finance.

Financing Glenshieling House

As Stewart Hindley & Partners specialise in the hospitality sector they decided to contact us to discuss their needs.  The guest house had been run to suit the lifestyle of the current owners and therefore the accounts were not showing the full potential of the business. We were able to help Richard & Louise by assessing the potential of the trade and produce realistic business projections showing how occupancy could be increased and turn the business into a more profitable enterprise.  A full debt proposal was created and submitted to the lenders.  Once funding was agreed, Stewart Hindley & Partners, supported Richard and Louise through to completion.  They have now moved into their new home and are already welcoming guests.

Comment from Richard & Louise Lennox
